The Blue Doors

When we opened up the house we found a pair of doors in the cellar, still wearing the blue someone painted them a long time ago. We could not throw them out, so they became the headboard of this room.

The walls are the original stone, which keeps the room cool through the summer and quiet all year. The bed is wide, the linen is heavy and the window looks down on the lane, where the first sound of the day is the bakery shutter going up.
